Funding Manager (Parental Leave Cover)
Be part of a unique organisation changing lives for young adults with learning and intellectual disabilities.
We are seeking a unique individual with a flair for relationship management, financial strategy, and reporting, to provide parental leave cover. This part-time role will sit on the Taimahi Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO, and is responsible for leading and managing our funding portfolio. Taimahi is a non-profit. Through free on-the-job training, supported by a strengths-based coaching programme, we walk alongside individuals with learning and intellectual disabilities to grow life skills for a fulfilling future.
Start date: Late March/Early April 2026
End date: Mid-late October 2026
Salary: Mid-level for non-profit
The role
● Manage Taimahi Trusts relationships and engagement with its philanthropic and government funders.
● Contribute to wider organisational management and strategy, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
● Progress Taimahi’s positioning in the funding landscape to strengthen financial sustainability.
● Write grant applications.
● Prepare accountability reports for all grants and contracts.
● Oversee the Trust’s funding records, and track expenditure of grants and contracts against the annual budget.
The ideal candidate
● Experience leading and managing the funding portfolio at a non-profit organisation in Aotearoa.
● Excellent relationship management, engagement skills, and related experience.
● Exceptional funding report and grant application writing ability.
● Well-organised, with the ability to define and lead on own workload and ensure reporting and application deadlines are met.
● Confident working with budgets and tracking grant/contact expenditure.
● Agile, entrepreneurial and works well as part of a team.
